  • Great food, service and bit slow and had to ask for someone to take my order. Clean restaurant and clean restroom. The congee was legit and the hot soy drink was delicious. The fry dough can be a bit more crispy but…. 8/10

  • Stayed here for lunch on a Friday, no wait and we were seated right away. Picked a few dishes with shrimp, cha-siu and beef tenderloin crepes, fish congee and a few other dim sum dishes. Couple thoughts: Crepes are legit and goooood!! Wish cha siu were more but can't go wrong with any crepes. Dim sum is so-so. Not your typical big and juicy ones like minghin but at the same time cheaper prices. However I came disappointed with the steamed meatballs. Supposed to come with bean curd but there wasn't any, It tasted like the hotpot ones that are stiff, where we were looking for steamed ones that's juicy and tender. Definitely go with the crepes and congee, dim sum are hit or miss.

  • This whole in the wall restaurant is exactly what we were looking for for breakfast on a cold day! If you are looking for authentic dumplings, buns, noodles, congee this is it. We are so happy we found this place. When you walk in you are immediately sat down. You are served hot tea and you can see the workers making fresh pastries. The customers were 90% Asian. I’ve never seen such big and plump dim sum before- just like your grandmother made it! This is our secret breakfast spot and we’ll come back again!

  • Wing Yip is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant that caters to early risers for a tasty Chinese breakfast. I really enjoyed the chicken and mushroom rice combo as well as the braised pork knuckle rice combo. Their Jasmine tea is very fragrant and a delight to drink. Their steamed rice in a clay pot is also much more tasty than rice served in other Chinese restaurants.

  • Do yourself a favor and get their egg custard bun. You’ll sink your teeth into this perfectly sweet, warm and gooey egg custard. It’ll make you forget your life’s troubles for a few moments.

  • I just recently moved to the area and wanted to try some new food. The atmosphere in here is amazing. The staff were so nice and everyone was so sweet. I loved the interactions. Overall everyone was geeked that I was even there and loved that I enjoyed the food. I definitely will be back. Great experience and great food

  • A corner restaurant outside of the main area in Chicago Chinatown. They do have a large round table but overall a pretty small place so expect a short wait and that it gets loud when crowded. Serves popular dim sum items at a very reasonable price though the menu isn't too extensive. Known for their steamed rice paper rolls but I find the shumai the star of the meal. Braised beef brisket is decent too. They also sell Hong Kong style milk tea that's decent.
